LGT Wealth Management, one of the leading wealth managers in the UK, today announced plans to open its first office in Manchester and to expand its presence in Birmingham into new premises. The developments reflect ongoing investment in regional growth that will see the firm continue to develop its presence across the UK in 2024.

LGT Wealth Management, one of the leading wealth managers in the UK, marks the fifth anniversary of its Sustainable Model Portfolio Service (SMPS) with a growing team, access to LGT Group’s global sustainable investment resources, and a strong partnership with the adviser community.
LGT has successfully completed the acquisition of abrdn’s discretionary fund management business in the UK and Jersey, at an amount of GBP 140 million (around CHF 158 million). LGT Wealth Management, the UK-based wealth manager and part of LGT, now assumes the client relationships of the acquired business and approximately 140 employees. With this transaction, LGT Wealth Management’s assets under management have increased by approximately GBP 6 billion to over GBP 28 billion, from GBP 22...
LGT achieved a group profit of CHF 223.6 million in the first half of 2023. This result was mainly driven by higher client assets and a favourable interest rate environment. Net asset inflows continued to be very strong in the first half of 2023, and amounted to CHF 15.8 billion.
