LGT Wealth Management announces appointments to Governing and Management Boards

London, 11th August 2022. LGT Wealth Management, one of the leading wealth managers in the UK and part of LGT Group which operates in 20 locations worldwide and has over £220 billion of assets under management, announces four new Board appointments.

Date

H.S.H. Princess Adelheid Coudenhove-Kalergi and Susan Ward join the Governing Board as Non-Executive Directors. Princess Adelheid is a member of the Princely Family of Liechtenstein and is Honorary Consul of the Principality of Liechtenstein to England, having been appointed in 2019. Princess Adelheid has previously held positions within the financial services sector, the most recent of which was Middle Eastern and Frontier Market Economist at Credit Suisse.

Susan brings over 30 years of financial services experience to the Governing Board and chairs the firm’s Audit and Risk Committees. Susan spent over 20 years at J.P. Morgan, where she specialised in structuring and executing capital solutions across debt and equity in leverage finance, credit and restructuring. Susan also gained extensive risk experience assessing reputation, legal and regulatory risks across multiple jurisdictions. Following this, she was the UK Head of Global Family Offices at UBS Wealth Management working with multiple large family offices and most recently has been involved in the impact investing sector.

Helen Whelan, Partner and Head of Risk and Barbara Kane, Partner and Head of Legal and Compliance, join the firm’s Management Board. Helen joined the firm in 2008, establishing the risk and investment oversight functions. She became Head of Risk in 2018 and a Partner in 2021. Barbara joined LGT Wealth Management in 2015 as a Compliance Manager, having previously worked in senior compliance positions at Goldman Sachs in both the UK and the US. In 2022, she became a Partner and was appointed Head of Compliance and Legal.

In addition, LGT Group Foundation appointed Peter Nussbaum to its Board of Directors. He was a co-founding partner of the Munich office of Milbank, an international law firm. Prior to this, he was co-head of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s global private equity group. A German national, Peter serves as a board member of various companies and foundations of the Princely House of Liechtenstein including, since this year, CEO Administration of the Princely Assets. Peter’s appointment on the Foundation’s board is effective immediately.
